Oenological tannins (condensed tannins or proanthocyanidins) extracted from grape seeds have the same structure than wine tannins and play a significant role in wine stabilization.
Several procedures allow to obtain more or less pure commercial preparations with varying polymerization degrees. Oenofrance offers three kinds of grape seed tannins obtained with different well-mastered extraction procedures. In order to ensure constant quality, the tannins are extracted from fresh and rapidly processed white grape pomace.
Oenotannin Perfect provides pure proanthocyanidins that are less polymerized than those of Oenotannin Velvet or Oenotannin Initial (see overleaf).

Properties :

 
Oenotannin Perfect, because of its purity and its high active tannic fraction contributes durably to the wine stability.
It removes harshness of wine because it reacts with wine polyphenols (tannin polymerization, tannin-anthocyanin complexing,...)
It flocculates proteins of red and white wines ;
It stabilizes the coloring compounds of the wine
It protects wines from oxidation.
It has a high antiradical activity
